There’s an opportunity for the next generation to shape the future of the historic and classic car world. As historic vehicles, notably pre-war, become more affordable, young people with the right skills are increasingly well-placed to find rewarding restoration projects. And there is no better way to inspire the next generation than providing driving experiences. That’s why the StarterMotor fleet matters: it gives hands-on access, real experience, and a chance to learn how to preserve the cars people love.

Growing a ‘network of opportunities’

We continue to grow our connections with schools, colleges, universities and other learning institutions like the British Motor Museum. This, in turn, enhances the charity’s ability to connect with our target audience and involve them in competitions, events and shows. We also work with industry partners to assist young enthusiasts to not only find work but to enjoy the social side of what’s on offer in the sector.

FOSTERING CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

There is a great need for engineering and craft apprentices, as well as the next generation to take on roles in areas such as insurance, sales, event management, marketing and auctioneering, all of which require specialist knowledge and a deep-seated interest.

Our home at Bicester Motion is where automotive tradition meets innovation, creating an Oxfordshire-based hub for classic-motoring enthusiasts and experts.
