To commemorate the exciting new relationship between StarterMotor and the MG Owners Club, October’s Bicester Motion Scramble saw the StarterMotor stand taken over by an abundance of heritage rich MGs. From a breathtakingly beautiful 1930’s MG 18/80, to a 2004 XPower SV which caught the eye of none other than Jay Kay of Jamiroquai, the stand and its display served as an enticing introduction, sparking some interesting conversations with visitors.

In recent years, Scrambles have become a staple event on the automotive calendar. Attracting brands such as Top Gear and The Intercooler, the Bicester Motion campus transforms into a hive of activity, creating community and inclusivity amongst those with a pure passion for petrol (and electric cars, too). As principal sponsors of StarterMotor, we’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from Bicester Motion and the Scramblers community.

As the world’s largest single marque club, we’re proud to be working together with the MG Owners Club to highlight the importance of introducing and nurturing young talent into classic and historic careers. Together, we share a vision of protecting the industry and keeping our beloved cars on the road for generations to come. With StarterMotor leaflets now included in all new membership packs, and a combined effort across social media and communication output, we’re spreading the word and making a real difference.

The association between the MG Owners Club and StarterMotor just makes sense. Through working with and getting to know young people in the sector, it’s clear that MG’s are often seen as one of the ‘go to’ motor brands for first time buyers wanting to start their journey of classic ownership. Together, we can use our voice and presence to showcase what the MGOC offers to young members, whilst drawing on the support of existing club members to share our purpose across the industry. It’s a two-way relationship we’re excited to grow.
