January 2026 marks one-year since we joined as a founding member of Motorsport UK’s Inclusion Hub – the one-stop-shop website for anyone longing for a career in the motorsport industry.

Over the past year, we've worked closely with the Motorsport UK team to raise awareness of the breadth of career opportunities available, shining a spotlight specifically on the rich and diverse world of classic and historic motorsport. As a result, we’ve been lucky enough to join fellow members of the Hub at some standout events on the motoring calendar, including Goodwood Festival of Speed and Autosport International.

The Hub brings together companies, communities and educational providers – such as our friends at the Heritage Skills Academy, and charities like us, who are united by a shared commitment to supporting the next generation of motorsport careers.

We caught up with Lowenna Cleary, Sustainability Coordinator at Motorsport UK, who oversees the delivery of the Hub, to find out more about the importance of having a resource like this within the motorsport sector.

Why was the Inclusion Hub created?

“The motorsport landscape has evolved significantly in recent years, with a growing number of accessible pathways for people to get involved both on and off the track. However, while opportunities have increased, information can be difficult to navigate for young people taking their first steps into the industry.

The Inclusion Hub was created to bring all of these opportunities together in one central, easy-to-use platform. Our goal is to make motorsport more accessible, helping young people understand where to start, what’s available, and how they can pursue their interests, whether that’s in engineering, driving, volunteering, or other areas of the sport.”

What’s been the most notable impact of the Hub?

“The most notable impact of the Inclusion Hub has been the breadth and reach of opportunities it has provided to young people, as well as the support it has offered to the organisations featured on the platform.

In 2025 alone, the Hub reached over 34,000 individuals and provided more than 120 opportunities across the motorsport and STEM sectors. This has not only opened doors for aspiring professionals but also strengthened the ecosystem by helping organisations engage with a more diverse and motivated audience.”

How does the Inclusion Hub address barriers young people might face getting involved in motorsport?

“The Inclusion Hub is the first dedicated platform designed to make motorsport more inclusive by clearly showcasing the wide range of opportunities available from education, inclusive programmes, volunteering, career resources, and community-building opportunities. It ensures equal access to information for everyone, allowing users to filter opportunities by age, location, and cost so they can easily find something relevant and achievable for them. By breaking down these barriers, the Inclusion Hub helps level the playing field and empowers young people from all backgrounds to explore and engage with the sport.”

What motivates you personally about working in this space?

“I am genuinely motivated by the difference and impact I can make within motorsport, as well as the wider impact the sport itself can have globally. I feel really lucky to be in a role where I can help shape the future of the sport and make it easier for more people to get involved. Some of my earliest experiences in motorsport were truly unforgettable, and they’ve stayed with me ever since. That’s what motivates me, giving others the chance to have those same incredible experiences, to discover their passion, and to see that there’s a place for them in this sport too.”
