The Alvis Speed 20, renowned for its blend of performance, luxury, and cutting-edge engineering for its time, remains a distinguished example of pre-war British automotive excellence.

Like Citroën, Alvis was one of the pioneers of pre-war motoring. A powerful six-cylinder could propel the car past 90mph, and, with synchromesh on each gear, it was smooth and easy to drive. Coachwork was various, and the StarterMotor example wears the stately body by Charlesworth.
