Glorious Goodwood… a pinnacle spot for motoring enthusiasts and petrolheads, with groundbreaking events, the iconic Hillclimb, and overall unmatched aura and buzz. It really is a one of its kind, kind of place.
Their Festival of Speed event has a liberating openness and intoxicating vibe to the four-day weekend, heightened by a red carpet full of celebrities and legendary vehicles taking to the hill. There’s a constant stream of special tributes to the automotive world, making it an unforgettable event which truly is in a league of its own.
An estimated 200,000 visitors walked through the gates over the four days with a steady flow of visitors to our eye-catching stand, with a Stem Racing go cart and hand built electric car from GreenPower proudly on display.
StarterMotor is honoured to be part of Motorsport UK’s Inclusion Hub which brings together 27 businesses, charities and grassroots organisations, all aligned on achieving the same goal: providing motorsport opportunities and potential career paths for young people into the dynamic and diverse world of automotive.
We don’t take lightly the responsibility we have as a member of the Hub to create awareness of what careers the industry can offer; driving and competing isn’t the only option, there are exciting and rewarding jobs to be had. From engineering to journalism, the options are endless. Together, we make the industry more accessible, diverse and importantly we aim to rejuvenate a sector that, in parts, has an ageing demographic.
Goodwood Festival of Speed provided another opportunity for the Charity to connect with the next generation of classic vehicle enthusiasts, hopefully to inspire them to participate in the Community, whether it’s as a driver, car owner, event manager, race marshal or social media influencer. It gave us the opportunity to inform visitors about the world of classic and historic motoring and discuss how StarterMotor can assist them to find their place in this unashamedly and gloriously authentic ‘old car’ world.
